Clientside encryption with OpenPGPjs

Privacy has big impact and many times encryption (or the lack of it) has been a key factor on important decisions. It may decide if a country enters into a war (it was the case in the WWI when a cipher from Germany to Mexico was deciphered by Washington) or if a mass leaking of data will trigger regulatory changes to world economy (as in the Panama Papers case).

Whatsoever are the real life consequences, from the technological point of view our objective as software engineers is to achieve the best possible results towards privacy and the safeguard of access control. In this talk we will discuss OpenPGPjs, a Javascript library that brings the heavy weight mathematics of Pretty Good Privacy into the easiness of use and advantageous software distribution of simple hipper text transfer protocol by the ubiquitous web browser usage.
